The speech sound shi (し) in the Japanese language does not sound like the English word 'sea'. Although shi (し) is similar to 'she' in pronunciation, say it without rounding the lips too much. If the lips are too rounded when saying the word, the pronunciation of shi (し) will sound unnatural. Do not confuse shi with hi as these sounds are very similar.（Refer to 3.6）
