I've
pared it down
to these two: Patrick and James.
pared it down
:
"pare down"は"narrow down"と同じで「削る、絞る」という意味。
Which one do you think we should hire?
This is a tough decision. They're both really great.
Patrick's
résumé
is slightly more impressive.
résumé
:
"résumé"は「履歴書」の意味。
That's true. He has more cooking experience.
But he has much less experience with bartending.
Right, whereas James has been bartending for years.
But James said he prefers not to work weekends in the summer, and that's when we need him the most.
That could be a problem.
I didn't meet them in person.
Which one do you think had a better personalilty?
They both seemed like great guys, but I think Patrick seemed like he'd be a little more at ease with customers.
I think he'd get along great with all the employees too.
All right. In that case, my vote is for Patrick.
Fine with me. I'll go for Patrick too, and make it
unanimous
.
unanimous
:
"unanimous"は「満場一致」の意味。「意見が一致する」
Great, so we agree!
Sounds like we have a decision! I'll give them both a call right now.
